Springfield Farmers' Market is a program of NEDCO, a non-profit organization that helps communities build assets. The market is supported financially by grants, memberships, sponsorships and vendor fees. The market operates on a small budget that supports an array of operating expenses that include insurance, permits, licenses, signage, utilities, site improvements, marketing, promotions, live music, a part-time market manager and more. We rely on the generous financial support of organizations and our patrons to help implement our marketing, operations, site development, health education and community relations programs to serve as a community gathering place where local producers and artisans can offer fresh and lively food and activities every Friday.

Our Mission
Springfield Farmers’ Market (SFM) exists for three primary reasons:
To provide quality, locally grown produce and artisan products to people who live, work and visit downtown Springfield
To generate economic opportunities for farmers and vendors
To actively participate in the revitalization of downtown Springfield

How We Use Financial Contributions
We use your generous contributions to fulfill our mission by continuously improving the market's shopping experience and nutrition options and growing our vendors' sustainable business opportunities. We also provide the Springfield area community with good health and nutrition education via fun, engaging activities. We're proud to have generated an estimated $700,000 in the local economy in 2010, your contributions lend to the economic power of our market.
