2010 Vendor Development
Program
The Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation is excited
to offer our Springfield Farmers' Market vendors and the local
farmers' market community the opportunity to grow with us during
this off season. We have partnered with a Eugene based non-profit
and will be initiating a Vendor Development Program in early
2010. This program, facilitated by Leah Murray of eDev (formerly
Lane Micro Business), will empower vendors with the skills necessary
to run a successful booth at any farmers' market. Topics will
include budget training, networking, business planning and conducting
market research. All of these survival tips will be offered
in addition to a curriculum that will be determined by you.
NEDCO and eDev encourage all market vendors to attend. Whether
this last year at SFM was your first or you've been working
the farmers' market circuit in Oregon for years, it is our intention
to make the program beneficial for all levels. If you know someone
who may be interested in starting a market operation please
forward them this information, the more participants the merrier.
